Default My TV doesn't like my cell phone

I'm about 8ft away and I just realized when I use my cell phone my picture goes bonkers

I never realized this, hmmmmmmmm.

With my 13" ancient sony TV in my bedroom it ALWAYS buzzes a little when my phone is directly next to it, but I'm 8ft away out here in my living room with my Sammy, interesting.

Never had the picture thing happen. It's normal to hear the buzzing though.

I just refuse to let my HDTV use my cell phone, but I know others do.

Seriously, it sounds like you are using a OTA antenna with your set and that is why you have this problem. I never heard of it before, but do you have an OTA antenna connected to the set?

No antenna attached, I use a cable box. My Sammy's picture kind of "breaks-up" for a lack of a better term. Maybe I should try to use my cell when I'm playing a video game or watching a DVD, and see what happens there; I suspect nothing however. It's probably the run of the mill interferrence, I just didn't think it would be that bad, especially being relatively far away.

Hmmmmmmm.....I'm watching the Cowboys- Eagles on the Fox HD channel and I only realized after a call on my cell phone that there was absolutely no interferrence on my TV.

Maybe it was another station I was watching when my TV went bonkers during a cell phone conversation. Strange, just strange.
