I am interested in getting a 4k TV I hear ultra HD is the new thing but it seems pretty pricey, but I cannot justify spending less on 1080p when it is going out of style so quickly. I found one place that is selling 4K TVs at pretty good prices http://factorydiscountelectronics.co...a-hd-tv-black/ they are selling the Samsung - 55" at 899.95 which seems a lot better then most places. but please let me know if anyody know of any great ways to get a good deal on them, but no used ones I don't trust them.

Be cautious as if this reseller is not "Factory Retailer" you may have no warranty except seller provided aftermarket warranty services, which are often questionable.

My next HDTV will be a Toshiba, most likely. That's when my original Toshiba's break down or something. They are running strong so far for years.

Default I call Bull

I was looking at the noob buyers guide. The person that posted this rated Samsung and lg as great or good with good customer service. That's a blatent lie. My 1 yo LG just took a dump with the VERY POPULAR black screen. There are thousands of people WITH THE SAME FREAKING problem and customer service is a dead end waste of time with THOUSANDS of complaints. I want my money back on this crap and so do thousands of others. Samsung got hit with a class action for selling junk TV's with the same problem as the LG garbage a few years ago with thousands of complaints on customer service as well. I'm sick of junk outsourced products that are overpriced and you get sh-t service. Sick of it. What is a (under a million dollars) decent freaking flat screen that wont blow up in a year or ten freaking seconds after the garbage warranty is up? The "noob guide" isn't dependable since the person claimed Samsung and LG are good when from all that I read, they are garbage and so is bout everything else. Let me also add that a quick search generates thousands of the same complaints with LG and Samsung failures with Hitachi and Mistubishi! What to do then? I want to buy something that will last more than a year or two or less without having to spend 2, 5 10 freaking grand? You know, old tube TV's would last 100 years but everything today is overpriced, short lived overhyped junk that greedy multinational Fascist outsourcing corporations that don't like to back their junk product that is made by slave labor. I am freaking Pissed...

Default Vizio E Series HDTV

I recently purchased a 50" E Series, Vizio LCD HDTV. It was at a nice price at our local Target store with C-Net giving it a favorable review. I am using C-NET's Vizio picture settings and up upgraded all cables to HDMI High Speed.

Update: As long as you are looking at the screen pretty much head on, the picture quality is great. I have it in the basement man cave. Because there is no UHD, 4K content on all programming via ATT U-verse and won't be for several years, the lower cost HDTV is perfect. Netflix and the like, have limited 4K content and will for some time.
