Hi all,I'm another newbie.I purchased a Samsung UN55B7000 LED TV today and I'm not sure I did the right thing. It looked awesome in the store(HHgregg)and it has loads of options but some of the reviews that I have been reading are sounding kinda middle of the road.I did get a really good price of $2700,but I'm wondering if maybe I should have gone with the Samsung Plasma PN58B550 model.I can get this model for $2100. I have owned a 62in Toshiba DLP for almost 5 years so I'm not up on these new technologies. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I would recommend that you exchange that TV for the Samsung plasma. Your eyes will thank you for it.

I just read a couple posts about the LED Samsungs and to exchange it for a plasma instead...

I was at Best Buy today and the sales mgr was really on it about the LED, saying it is the best of both plasmas and LCD. Can anyone shed any light on the LED vs Plasma debate for me? Thx.

One of the biggest problems with the LED backlit LCDs (compared to the florescent backlit LCDs) is that the viewing angles tend to be worse with the LED based LCDs. It will be harder to see this in the ultra bright stores but is more noticable in typical home lighting.

I know with the florescent LCDs I have the viewing angles are not that great, but as hard as I tried to see them in those bright stores they were hard to see, until I got them home.

i agree
as i saw LED in store and after 2 hours i saw the same LED in my cousins house...
there was a hell of difference.but i think store must have some area where there is low light and the customer can see the best of what he or she is buying.
the same problem confuse many customers in buying Plasma.

Hey folks, newbie here.

I was looking at 37" lcd's for around $500. Guy at brandsmart showed me the LG 37LH20? I believe. It's a 720p, but he said "at that small of a size, you don't need 1080".

I guess I'm looking for best bang for buck @ $500. Is there truth to what he says...does it matter with a 37" tv?

Any other thoughts on that model or recommendations for something else?

Cool, thanks for the recomendation!

I see that one is a 720 as well. So do you agree 1080p doesn't really matter with that size TV?
