Default Problem with my 32" Philips LCD

I purchased a Philips 32" LCD from Costco 13 months ago (warranty is good for 12 months ), and for the past week I've been having problems. Everything is great except the black/very dark colors, which are filled with blue neon dots. I've tried playing with all the settings for the picture, I downloaded the software upgrade from the Philips site and installed it to no avail.

This morning I called Philips and they ave me a case #. I asked them if they would honor the warranty given it's only over by 1 month, and they asked me to fax in the receipt and that I should hear back within a week.

Anybody heard of this problem before?
Thanks.

Don't worry; even if Philips doesn't cover it (they probably will if you keep on them), Costo will.

Costco WILL take back a set that is 13 months old, and used? Are you sure of this?

I'm going to box it up and bring it back to see what happens. If they don't take it back, I'll drive 2 more blocks and take it to the repair center. Will let you know if they take it back. Store credit will do fine for me, as I'd get a new TV anyways.

Costco DID take my 13 month old TV back! I had the original box, all the manuals, etc, and the receipt. They asked why I was returning it, and gave me a store credit/gift card which I promptly used to buy a 32 inch Sony Bravia LCD.

Kudos to Costco for honoring their 100% satisfaction guarantee.
