Default Panasonic Plasma 42" TV #TH-42PF0U

Wondering if my Panasonic Plasma TV has built in audio Speakers or not, I don't have the original Remote to go through the audio settings to see if they were just put on mute from previous owner... I have heard that some Plasmas need a sound bar or surround sound system hooked up to it to hear audio, can anyone with knowledge on this issue help me out???

The Panasonic TH-42PF0U is not a television. Televisions have speakers and tuners. But it is very good display/monitor. Many years ago I purchased my first Plasma TV (50" Panasonic)-- I did not ever use the tuner or speakers-- and have not used these on any my subsequent (4) TVs.

Non-TV displays are not uncommon as many people have receivers/sound systems and use cable boxes and/or other streaming devices and don't actually need TV tuners.

The Panasonic Plasma 42" TV #TH-42PF0U definitely has internal speakers. See the full specs at https://shop.panasonic.com/support-only/TH-42PD50U.html

That is not the same set, the TH-42PF0U was a monitor with no internal speakers
the TH-42PD50U is a different set.

You are correct about the P/N ... however the link you reference supports the fact that there are 2 internal speakers. Here is a direct excerpt from that site -

Speakers: 2 (16W, 6 ohms, 105Hz - 20kHz, 10% THD)

You are correct about the TV on YOUR link... but it's not the monitor in question from the opening post and the link I provided.

that link is for a TH-42PD50U and not a TH_42PFOU model, different sets all together.
