Default Tech Help Please with Plasma repair

I have a Panasonic 42 Plasma. Got the blinking light of death. took it to my local electronics dealer, he said the A board needs to be replaced so he offered me a refurbished A board & one from Panasonic for $200 more. The TV has about 10,000 hours on it. He is saying the A board may reflect picture quality ... if I get the refirb. is he right. If I tell him to put in the one from Panasonic how do I know he didn't put in the refirb, & make an extra 200? What should I do? Will effect picture quality?

If the TV is not calibrated after the swap, either one could cause a difference from what your original picture was.
