Hopper question...

No sure what model Hopper I have. I started new service with Dish last year (2013) in July.

Assuming I had 2 Joeys, how many live channels could I watch at one time? I think I read somewhere that "Prime Time" can record 4 shows at the same time.

Then there's the Dishanywhere question. I think there can only be one person at a time using Dishanywhere. My wife had a Dishanywhere show going and I tried to do another one, only to get a screen saying something like "only one receiver can be active at the same time.

Would appreciate any answers to the above questions.

The Hopper can watch 3 live shows at the same time. One on the Hopper and one each on the Joeys. Dishanywhere would use up one of these video streams. The prime time records the 4 network shows at the same time as it is recording off the same transponder. However, you can only watch one show from the stream. So if the Hopper is recording prime time you have lost one stream, if one or both Joeys are in use you have lost one or two more streams, which means you cannot view any other programming. Now if you were to get a Super Joey, it has two tuners of it's own and that brings 5 video streams that can be used. Or if you attach an OTA module, that would give you an additional stream you could view.

Thanks, very clear explanation of the system. I think I'm going to call Dish and see about getting a "Super Joey" replacement.
