I need help with this. I would like my gym TV to mirror/split what my bedroom TV shows which is operated by a joey.

How do I mirror or split the signal from the joey?

I already have coaxial cable run, can I use this or do I need something different?

Thanks

Nicole

Nicole,

The Hopper/Joey installation requires a receiver for the signal to any TV. This configuration is different from past receivers, which allowed mirroring of TVs. The TV in your gym needs a Joey. Please let me know if you have further questions. Thanks.

I am really disappointed with dish network at this point. When upgrading to hopper/joey, dish needs to explain this much clearer to customers. It is a rip off for customers to have to pay an extra $7 a month for each tv! I would understand paying extra to be able to watch something different in each room, but when this is not needed (just need mirroring) this policy/set- up seems like a backdoor way to charge customers especially when getting an additional Joey restarts your dish network contract.

Try an HDMI splitter and run an HDMI cable from the splitter to both TVs.

I just posted the DISH press release from the 2014 Consumer Electronics show (CES) from Las Vegas. It includes many new upgrades to their Hopper System. See the entire press release in the first post of this thread.

My math agrees with that. $17 for hopper + joey instead of $6 for first 722K.

You replied to a 3 year old thread.

Hopper has a $15 DVR fee, but no receiver fee for the first receiver, second H3 receiver is $15.

Joeys are $7/month, so Hopper + Joey is now $22/month.
