Default WGNHD now on DISH

My daughter (DISH subscriber) called to "rub-it-in" that they now have WGN in HD. It's time for a Email barrage on DIRECTV...even Canadian viewers have WGN HD. They already have TBS & TNT, with "no plans" for WGN...must be a 'money' thing. DIRECTV claims to be the superior choice for HD.

DIRECTV is the superior choice for HD.

I really doubt an Email barrage on DIRECTV will do anything, but go for it.

Who cares, and they still don't have the YES network pretty impressive

I agree with the original poster. DirecTV is really slacking as of late. Bandwidth issues or not....and the new bird is flying. What's the holdup? Also, why not get rid of the least watched channels? I know they keep track of those kind of statistics. I pay for 20 or more shopping, educational, and religion channels that I don't watch. I'm sure most, if not all of you do the same.

You really don't understand any of this, do you. I don't call this slacking at all. Where were you last year when all of the new HD stuff was being turned on ? Direct 11 is flying and IF you paid attention to what is being posted about it at the DBSTalk forum, then you would understand maybe a little bit about what is going on. Direct 11 is in a testing phase. It remained in one spot for a period of time and over the past week it has moved to another test location. Do not expect any transmissions from Direct 11 until maybe August. September seems more likely.

Your daughter, nor any DISH subscriber, has anything to "rub in" when it comes to Directv subscribers. I think it's pretty funny that she called to rub-it-in on one channel that she gets and we don't. I bet we'll have it in September among many more that she won't be privy to.

I do know that D11 is in testing and not to expect it until sometime in the fall. I was ecstatic just like everyone else amidst the great addition of new HD channels from D10 over the last 6-12 months. I was merely commenting on my opinion about some of the channels I feel are worthless that are using the little precious bandwidth available. Unfortunately I do not frequent DBSTalk forum so I will never be as cool as you. But thanks for being an @$$hole.

Well I watched Nash Bridges reruns on them for a little while till I noticed they were editing the episodes. Now I will just wait till they start releasing the seasons on DVD later this year.

IS WGN's news in HD? That would be worth watching. And what about Bulls games? Again, worth tuning in for.
