Question Any advantages to Directv over Dish network?

Ok I am switching from Comcast, and want to know whether to go with Dishnetwork now. I have had Directv and reasonably good service. Comcast has worse picture quality on some channels, and I can't go with Voom as they are gone. Any advatages to Directv in programming, quality, equipment, etc. over Dishnetwork???

You can only get the NFL Sunday Ticket on DirecTV. That is the #1 reason why I still have it.

I, like the others, have D* instead of E* because of the NFL Sunday Ticket. You get 7 or 8 HD games per week and it's exclusive to D* for many years.

I believe for the foreseeable future D* will stay ahead of E* because of the capabilities they will have with the four new satellites going up, first one will launch the end of this month. There have been rumors that since E* is buying Voom's satellite and ground station they may have something up their sleave especially if they buy Voom's HD channels.

Note that if you ignore the analog channels (the poor PQ ones less than channel 100) you've STILL got more digital SDTV channels than DirecTV or Dish, and you get your digital locals without having to put up an antenna...

I have the digital local channels in both SD and HD without an OTA antenna. The lack of locals for DTV customers is mostly in the HD arena...the locals in SD are available in all the major markets with HDs coming this year.

Default Directv Versus Dish Network

I had Directv for a week, but went back to Dish Network. My family prefers Dish network.Personally they are both good and bad.
I loved the tv channels symbols of each network on Directv's channels.
I loved their NBC high Definition channel and Bravo HD...both of which Dish Network does'nt have.
