Default Audio Issue with Network Feeds???

I have both the Los Angeles regular locals and the HD feed. It seems that the regular feeds have a higher sound quality than the HD feeds. When I switch over to the HD feeds the sound is much lower? Why is that? Is there something wrong with my stb (I have the H10 connected by HDMI). Would connecting by component and separate audio cables make a difference? I thought the digital feeds should sound much better than the standard analog feeds. At my friends house, he's got cable and the better and louder sound is on the digital locals and not on the analog feeds. Anyone else have this issue?

I had a difference experience.

When I was watching American Idol this week, the audio feed was off by about a sec. It was really strange.

THEN:
When I was watching CSI last night, there was no dialogue audio but there was background and other sound effects.

These were both on the HD feed from D*

anyone have something similar to this?

P.S. I also have the same audio levels problems as kfarzin does

Where are you located? We had no dialog (no center channel) in South Bend. I have inquired on another forum if this was common around the country, but no one confirmed the loss.

I too had the same problem with Fox when watching American Idol (sync issue). But I think that is due to directv or local fox station issue not stb. Because tonight while watching Fox malcolm in middle it was in sync and other shows on that channel were ok too. Just don't know why the sound level is lower on Fox, ABC, CBS, NBC which are HD and DD 5.1 than regular network feed. Anybody have any ideas on that?

About Idol, i think it was program or local station issue since ther comercials were in sync.
