Default World Series in HD - Please!

We do not receive the network channels in HD (except for NBCW). That means no Fox in HD. We loved watching the Rockies playoff games on the new TBS HD. Are there any DTV options other than Fox to see the World Series in HD?

Hydro,
You might just get lucky on this one. DTv also puts the games on 95 or 97. Check those channels when the game comes on. I hope it works out. I am rooting for the Rockies too just probably will not watch them though.

The LCS games were on 94-95 (MPEG2) so the people who did not have TBSHD (MPEG4) yet could have them in HD. Another positive thing that D* did but I'm sure somehow got ripped for it. Fox will not share the rights of the WS broadcast with anyone I assure you. The ALCS was strictly Fox and so will the WS. You either need HD locals or an OTA to get it in HD. I'm afraid the author is going to have to watch Colorado lose at a local bar. The good news is it will only require 5 visits to said bar.

Thanks for the feedback. Pretty much what I expected.

Now that the Red Sox have broken their curse, cockiness reigns. Perhaps it was cockiness and not the Babe in 1918 that led to the curse? And now another 80 year drought is in the works?

If a local bar has FOX in HD, then so should the original poster. I suspect the bar may have a cable company's HD feed. I suggest paying $8 or so for very basic cable and getting HD locals like that. I'm doing that right now after having trouble with my OTA antenna. Interestingly, my CBS channel isn't even digital OTA, yet Time Warner has it in HD for their subscribers.

Go to BB, get a settop antenna, set up your reciever for an off the air antenna, and see if you can get the game.

It might temporarily solve the problem.

How would basic cable give you high def? That doesn't make sense.

I have the same issue as the original post. My DTV locals feed is Colorado Springs and we do not get HD Locals yet from DTV. Ahhhh!!!!

I'm located in Northern El Paso County just a few miles from the DTV Denver Locals feed line, which DTV provides in HD.

OTA is not an option for me though.

Will Comcast really install cable for only $8 Local HD Access?

Has anyone really had success in changing your SAT home install address (e.g. in a location where DTV provides Local Channels in HD) so that you can get a CBS/NBC/FOX/ABC HD feed? I have read some posts about this in the past but not really sure if it works. Appreciate any thoughts re: this route (e.g. pros, cons, and what has worked).

Thanks.....Go Rockies!
