Is the DTV H20 w/out DVR any Good?

I see a lot of statements hating the DTV DVR. But is the regular HD reciever ok, or does it still have problems.

Is this regular HD reciver capable of mpeg-4 that everyone talks about?

I'm also in Cincy, OH so I think i will get the HD locals with out OTA anntenae but hoping that the picture quility is ok.

Not too sure about the H without DVR, but I also live in Cincy and the Picture is almost as good with the OTA. I live right by KI, so ABC was always a challenge for me to pick up, so I got it for that reason alone.

The HR has issues, but definately worth it imo

I live in Grand Rapids, MI. My signal for my HD locals through my H20 so far has been a near complete disappointment. I get audio distortion along with video pixelization every couple of minutes. Every other channel is perfectly fine, just the HD locals. STD locals are without problem.

I am down in Paw Paw and having the same issues. I have a strange pixleation on wwmt about a third the way down the screen horizontally. I have hours at a time I can't get wwmt at all but Fox, Abc and all the other Hd channels are fine. And the intermittent audio "yips" are driving me insane. I have had the techs out to my house 3 times now... I am thinking the problem is on their end now.

H20-600 Has Issue's and if you have this model D8 Will Swap it out as in (Mail You a replacement)- Check your Box- The H20-100 is the replacement when I swapped mine out it has been perfect siince I changed it over a month ago.

So Look at the back of you H20 or in the setup for your model number.

The H20 is without DVR the HR20 is with the dvr.
