Default no caller id now

after my recent software updates. my dang caller id no longer works,any ideas ? i checked,it is turned on .

Mine was working when they hooked it up in late december and went out just a few days ago. I'd like some help on that too.

seems like these software updates, fix one thing,break another. some ppl may get ticked off at me saying this,but. would we accept this kind of crap taking a new car to a dealer to be fixed,or anything else !!! new opinion here,the hr-20 can not be fixed.updats can only go so far,this i know,as i work on computers,and as we know,the hr-20 does run a form of a computer o.s. ... how do i spell "lemon law" ? lemon law says 3 times to fix, then plan- b . it is just a matter of time before someone goes legal on this kind of crap. just my opinion.am i the only one that is feeling this way ? i think not. ok,rant off :

try turn off notices,had the same prob i select turn off notices and it works

I posted the same rant on and they mad me feel like I was the problem.

Direct TV has a great opportunity to do the right thing. If they don't it will get ugly.

not just that. all the other related issues. on # 4 hr-20 here. i am not lauging,trust me on this one . glad you thing these issues are funny .

I don't know if this is related or helps, but will share it.

Received and hooked up my new HR20-700 a little over a week ago and everything worked fine on it. However, the caller ID stopped working on my R15 second receiver at that time. After numerous calls and attempts to fix it, I was told it was an ongoiing problem and new software would be coming out late February, so I was in wait mode.

Well, a couple days ago out of the clear blue sky, it started working again and has worked ever since (knock on wood). I checked and it did not show any new software update, so not sure why it stopped working and then started again. Time will tell for how long it works.

Well maybe I just don't relate. Ive had one with no problems. I don't use caller id on my TV, so I wouldn't know if it works or not.

It would be interesting to know if people are using standard POTS or Digital services like Vonage, etc., or both.

CID has never worked correctly for me since I Bought the HR-20.
First I got the "bogus" you must subcribe to the telephone service"
msg, then it would only take 2 or 3 calls and I would have to delete
all msgs in the call log to get it working again. Some people claim
it's because of a DSL filter problem on the line. My problems have
been getting better since I took the OX119 software version.

standard phones here,the new software hosed it . it woked just fine before that .
