I am complaing because I have been told lie after lie by DirecTV and they have taken my money under false pretenses. In most states that's called fraud and is illegal.

When my TV blew out 18 months ago, I decided I might as well get ready for HD. Before I did, I called DirecTV to get the scoop. I was especially interested in local channels in HD. They told me they expected to roll out the local market in about 6 months. Fine. So I got my new TV, and bought the HD10-250 DirecTV receiver at the same time. Now it's 18 months later still no local market and no firm roll out date I can discover.

They also told me they'd replace my receiver for free when they roll out the market (since it will have to go to the new encoding format). I just hope that doesn't prove to be a lie as well.

Maybe you don't think lying is a problem, but I take exception to it.

NFL ST in HD is on which satellite?

I recently bought an H20-600 receiver. Right now the only DirecTV satellite I get is 101W. The only HD I'm interested in getting from DirecTV is NFL Sunday Ticket. I'm using a WaveFrontier T90 toroidal dish. Which satellite carries the NFL ST HD channels?

Sny - Hd?

I read that SNY has a directv channel, if so where is it. I do have YES HD on channel 95.

HDs are comeing off of sat 110w and 119w and some time soon (if ever) they're going to also use 99w and 103w i dont know any thing about the WaveFrontier T90 but the dish we install are called slimline and can pick up all 5 sats

The Local channels broadcast some shows in HD like the news and other show but channels like 5.2 or 32.7 for example need a HD off air athena. As far as your reciver it uses MPEG-2 the new channels are going to be comeing in as MPEG-4 id start asking about a H20 (complain enoth and custmer service will give u almost anything;))

Do you have to order NFL Sunday Ticket, or can you purchase individual games?

You have to order Sunday Ticket and if you want the games in High Def on Sunday Ticket you have to order Super Fan for another $100.00. I just dropped the SF because I get my team in HD over the air.

Last year I believe you could purchase one day for $40. As far as this year, I'm not sure yet.

New customers who order starting on July 12th will get Superfan for free if they order an HD receiver and Sunday Ticket when they place their initial order.

Can somebody help

I posted this on another seperate thread
maybe the Directrep can answer these questions..

Currently I have DTV for 6 years now and love it.
I have 3 DVRS and 1 standard box
A 3 LNB dish and powered multiswitch

Im in the process of setting up my first HD room.

FIOS will be available in 2 months and I have been debating switching.

SO far my reasons are to switch are
1) MUCH cheaper for all three services
2) From what I have seen the picture is just as good or better

MY Hesitations of switching are
1)Fios does Not have as much HD programing as DTV

Recently after speaking with a DTV REP we found out that the packages actually went up in price WELL my wife bugged when she when she heard that and gave me the evil eye

The DTV rep transfered me to A LEVEL 2 REP
His work around was taking away two movie channel packages to adjust the price to even TRY to come close to FIOS
I wasnt happy
plus it still is going to cost me $200 to purchase the HDDVR

Currently I have the best package and am a 5 Heart customer
I was expecting them to at least attempt to keep me ON
If that is there best offer they are in trouble.

NOT to mention i have to add this huge 5 lnb dish supposedly to get HD

CAN somebody answer me or give me some advice

regards

bell labs engineer
