Default More in the HD Extra package

[QUOTE=JWvanLohuizen;387722]Well I am really finishing up now. Any further changes will have to wait until next channel additions.

I have separated the HD Extra Package and renamed the MPEG-2 category.

According to the flyer I got in the mail yesterday there shoudl be a couple more channels in the HD Extra package. Both of the HDNET channels and UHD.

This is annoying since I actually watch those and they have been available to me since I got HD in May. The free preview of them ends on 12/15. Isn't an extra $9.99/month enough for the HD channels. Charging another $4.99 for these 6 channels is a slap in the face. If DTV doesn't want to just give them away, make them part of the premium package.

I don't know? How about an extra $20 for HD access like Dish and cable charges?

If I decide to buy the HD Extra package, It'll be $14.98.

Granted they are decent channels and not what Dish is offering.

Default Locals

Any idea when the locals will be added in HD. I can get all of them except NBC with and antenna. And with the HR-20 I can even feed them to the DVR.

If you look more closely, I divided the HD Extra Channels between the MPEG-4 & MPEG-2 (located on page2) sections for a total of 6 channels.

I will be uploading the newly updated list, with the new RSNs, added very soon.

Actually, MPEG-4 is a tighter compression, meaning you could actually get worse quality than MPEG-2. I haven't seen MPEG-4 in action (on cable currently), but the more compressed you make something, the worse the quality.

206 and 73 are the same MPEG2 feed, so they should have the same PQ. As are ESPN2(72, 209), TNT(75, 245) HBO(70,501, 509) and Showtime(71, 537, 543)

DirecTV is undoubtedly the best TV service provider in the US. It is an exciting list of offerings they have. According to me the best channel DirecTV is offering now is NDTV 24x7. It is the best news channel.

I live in wa state and CW is not sending out any HD in my area. I have checked over the air and on DirecTv. The CW channel is in Yakama{sp}

I hope DirecTv will add HD Verson's of: AMC, Fox Movie Channel, TCM, G4.

and shopping channels can show more detail in HD of the stuff they sell: QVC and HSN.
