Default AT&T Internet (Directv) vs Time Warner Internet

We have been with TW internet service for years. We have been considering adding AT&T to our current Directv package instead of TW. My concern is AT&T is offering 24 megabytes compared to our current 200 megabytes. We do a lot of downloading of movies, etc., and we have 3 laptops and 4 televisions in our home. Afraid the change would not be a positive change for us and we would be locked into a 2 year contract.

Welcome to the site

You answered your own question- If Caps are an issue because of content downloads -then any savings gained by changing service will be off set by increased over cap limit fees.

I would keep what you have if it's it working well for you

I'm confused. You have DTV already that afaik has no limit for viewing programming either directly or added to the DTV DVR. I believe I saw an DTV ad that said you get unlimited data IF you had ATT for your phone service with your phone although after 22 GB, they may throttle the speed down. This should have NOTHING to do with DTV.

IF you're getting 200 MB, NOT GB, that sounds like entry level smart phone service. My wife has similar service with ATT on her smart iPhone service. IF indeed TW really has 200 GB service for your family's download service, I would keep it although in the real world, I very seldom even approach the 3 GB service with my iPhone.

I have AT&T internet and have DTV but they aren't linked yet and I have an allowance per month of 600GB internet download.
