How can anyone watch standard def?

Default $100 Rebate

So far, I've sent in two (the first one never arrived or was "lost"). I got my HD DVR in August and am still waiting on the rebate and I get the same story every time I call: it takes 8 weeks. Well that's BS!! Direct TV used to have excellent customer service but now it stinks. Has anyone else run into the same thing? What did you do? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

First let me give you my storyline. I ordered the hd10-250 back in september and mailed the rebate form in twice. The second was for good measure. Four weeks after I mailed in the second I called to get a status on the rebate and a nice lady tells me they have received the rebate form and they were processing it and to call back at the conclusion of the eighth week if I have not receivedmy rebate.

Of course I had to call back and this time they tell me that they never received it.

You are not alone. However pi** pour service is no excuse for me! I handled this is a more firm manor.

I told them to credit my account or reimburse me for the hd10-250 and I would cancel my account. The guy asked me are you sure thats what you would like to do? I balked but felt I had to proceed with what I started and he sent me off to a "resolution specialist". I told him my demands and they credited my account $100.

I just went through the same thing after eight weeks to be told it was lost. seems like alot of them where "lost".

Got my HR-250 in August. Got the rebate form from D* in less than a week after installation. Still waiting for rebate check. It would be easier for eveyone if they would just credit your account after activation of the receiver. But that would make it to simple.
