Default Install question

Is a pole install, even if right beside your house considered a custom installation?

If you need a pole mount to get line of sight then no. If you just prefer a pole mount then yes, it's custom work. I seem to remember it's a $65 charge...

It also depends on the installer - He will do a Pole install if it's better than climbing on the roof -depends on the height. It might not be a custom job

So with a 2 1/2 story home I might get a pole mount as a normal install?

It costs nothing to ask at the time of install - It beats breaking out a ladder and running wire up and down - you can suggest a tip for doing it the way you want - if the D* tech has the stuff and he should you can work something out -

It also depends on "line" of sight at your place may not be able to get it except at a higher elevation.

If you request a pole mount up front at time of order you will be charged
