Default Recorded Movies Disappear

For the past couple of weeks as I am watching a movie I have recorded in the past couple of days. I get interrupted and put it on hold (using the correct button right under the button PWR at the top part of the remote). The movie completely disappears off my List. First time it happened, I searched and recorded it again, It disappeared again as I put it on hold. The latest movie that just now disappeared does not gave a repeat showing. Now I know this is just a coincidence but only the movies I am really liking disappear when put on hold. I have tested on some things I have recorded that don't disappear when put on hold so it doesn't really seem to be a problem with the actual remote but IDK. I can call Directv but those call center reps don't know their butt from a hole in the ground. Anybody got any idea what the problem might be.

If you call DirecTV the first thing they’ll ask is if you tried to reboot the system. Frankly, it is a good idea that has cured some bugs for me in the past.

what channel is this on? There is a known bug on channels that have the "start from the beginning" feature. There is new software to fix this, started rolling out a few days ago and will be rolled out to everyone (automatically), probably by the end of the week.

Thanks for the responses. Yeah, I already did a reset but I had already lost the movie so not sure that fixed anything. And it was the Lifetime channel. I don't know what “start from the beginning" feature is, so not sure I have that. I have an old H20 receiver.

Don't watch anything you have recorded unless you are sure that you can watch it all the way through. It is a known bug and they have a fix which is being rolled out now.

I live in California and have not received it yet but people in the Mountain time zone have been getting it. It should get to everyone soon.

The new "start from the beginning" was rolled out to everyone but then this bug was discovered. Resets won't help in this case but they frequently do.
