Default NFL Network Preseason Games??

Please don't tell me that you have to order the NFL ST in order to get the NFL Networks broadcast of preseason games in HD. When I went to channel 98, it told me I had to call for ordering info. But I recieved the Standard Definition broadcast..

Since NFL network is not part of the Sunday Ticket, why would I have to order the TICKET it to see an HD broadcast of theirs? I pay for the HD package....that should cover anything that is not part of the Ticket!!!! And since I recieve the Standard broadcast the NFL network is not part of the Ticket.....

I refused to order the Ticket because of their gouging practices. I am happy with the 5+ games of HD I will get a week.....F*** them!!!!!

Also, they had better not take away the NFL Game of the WEEK in HD, that is my favorite show!!!!! If they do, I may dump them.

If anyone has any info, please respond....

Default NFL Preseason HD

I call D* to ask them the same question. They responded with this statement. The preseason games broadcast in HD is determined by the nfl and the local affiliate networks that have paid for the rights to broadcast in HD. Directv uses channels 97,98 for these broadcast but all may not be available in certain geograpical areas. What I have found to be the case is if the game is tape delayed I get the same message you did. But so far all the games that are being broadcast live I have been able to view in HD.

Default Update

Well right now I am watching a replay of the Redskins and Panthers game on channel 98 and it is coming in HD just fine. So I don't know what the determining factor is on who gets the games or not. Guess we will just have to check each game to see if it is available.

Default NFL Game of the Week in HD

NFL Network will still show the game of the week in HD on wednesday and thursday nights as always. Just watched a promotion of HD programming offerings of the NFL Network and that is what they said.

I got the same thing on Saturday night when i went to watch the 49's game that was scheduled at 10:00pm i called D* and they said it was blacked out. however i check the channel again about an hour later and it was finally on i missed one quarter. I dont understand the black out rules but they are made up by the league so we dont have any say in that. If you get that message again check back on 98 once or twice up to an hour after scheduled start and see if its on then.

The Dallas-AZ game was on ESPN channel 213. I checked it out, but stayed with the HD game of Raiders 9ers. Not sure on the whole NFL Network issue because I do have the NFL ST minus the Superfan ripoff.
