Default will this make shift component selector/splitter work?

heres what i wanna do. instead of buying an over priced component selector i was wondering if i could use this...see pic. can i use one of these on each input? 5 total 3 video 2 audio I would use the white ones to run my dvd player and the red ones to run ps2

I don't believe those type of cables can carry the necessary signal needed for a component signal. They should work, but would reduce your picture quality.
