Default Big problem with Sony HDTV

I have a Sony KV-36HS420 that, as of a few days ago, has a red screen. Whether the Cox HD box is on or off, no matter which input (DVD, video game, TV tuner, whatever) it's red. I've double checked all the cables, and they're all secure. (A repair guy is coming to take a look next week.) Anyone with this TV have any similar problem? I'm hoping it's the picture tube, because it's still under warranty. I've had it with no problems whatsoever since Sept. '04.

Default kv34hs420-Same problem

My cousin's KV34hs420 picture developed the same issues with the red lines, eventually turning into a red screen. Sony sent a tech and they had to order some parts. He purchased it the first of december and has had the problem since mid december. The Sony tech still has the TV and is still waiting on the part.

I have experienced a grainy picture issue with the KV32hs420 that I purchased in November. I have already taken it back to the store for an exchange, but the second TV did the same thing. It will be exchanged tomorrow for another brand. I have not decided which brand to go with, so if anyone has any reccomendations, I would appreciate it.

Default

Excessive sharpness settings can cause graininess... lower the setting. Sharpening is usually only needed with analog signals, digital signals are already sharp. Many turn the sharpness all the way off for digital inputs.

Whatever happened with your TV? Mine started to do the same thing, turn red/blue and very blurry.
