Where can I buy a CRT?

Simple. Please tell me where Online I can buy a decent used/new CRT television. It's increasingly hard to find one. Any help, would be highly appreciated.

Too bad you didn't post this up about a month ago, oh and of coarse lived closer !
I just gave away a 36inch Sony TV...

I had it listed on CL for a month , and had a yard sale with both that one and a 26in. Toshiba people just looked at them and walked on didn't even get an offer...

Please give up and update yourself. These damn things should be outlawed. LOL. Most of us are tired of dealing with watching squares in our rectangles.

Although most crt tv's were 4:3 I have seen a number of CRT monitors that are 16:10. FYI I still have a 24" crt monitor on one of my Pc's that I have been using since 2003 - it is on it's last legs now and I am going to be reallly sad when It finally goes - when calibrated properly crt have an image that surpasses any I have ever seen so far.

ah! I still use my sony XBR with a widescreen crt. actually have 2 I use. one in my bdrm. I cannot see replacing it yet because it still performs well. although I would love a bigger screen, soon enough. I just want my moneys worth. I plunked $600.00 down for my Sony, the last crt model year. In the box. 2 months later BB had one open box for $800.00.

Garage sales may sell some old ones. I don't miss owning mine. They weigh like over 100 pounds making them impossible to move on your own.

Crt tv

Check any Goodwill store. They usually have lots to choose from.
Also advertise for what you are looking for in the Wanted section of craigslist.

Good luck

I found this review a few years ago and it still makes me laugh. (Future-proof!)

while crts are now essentially obsolete now due to small screen size and very heavy bulky size, last week I saw a stunning picture on a 20" sony crt playing a VHS tape! reason-crt still rule when it comes to static contrast ratio. lcd look dull by comparison.

Just sold my Sony KV HR420 HD set last week for $80.00. I was lucky. It had sat for a long time. I thought I was going to have to toss it. Not many want them. I'm one also who still uses a crt. the last xbr sony made in a crt. I will say this, it gives a sd pq that no flat tv can beat.

Hi! you may need to put the part number of the picture tube itself. You can that part number on line , you would have a lot better chances to find it this way, and that's the only proper way to find parts. Good luck!
