Default 32" Sony Bravia and my Macbook Pro..

Hi,
I just bought a Sony Bravia 32" for my computer, as well as xbox 360. Xbox 360 looks amazing of course..

The macbook pro is decent as well. It's running at the screens native resolution.. (1360 x 768) It has a DVI port and I have two cables.. DVI/HDMI and a DVI/VGA. I personally can't tell a difference, but, the DVI/VGA has an auto poweroff future which is pretty useful and I'm currently using.

When my macbook pro is connected, something about the TV bugs me. Does this happen to anyone else? I'm just used to my macbook pro's screen, and soemthing about it bugs me. The text might be a bit blurrier than the laptop screen, but I'm not 100% sure. It's a bit more straining to the eyes.. I find myself squinting a bit more. I've messed around with the color settings on both the MBP and the TV but it just doesn't seem right. Any suggestions??

Also, is it possible to just use less of the HDTV? For example, using the macbook pro at a more clear resolution and not using the entire TV. ie: having black borders around it.
