Default 1080p HDMI inputs and PC

Do you think that with the coming of the true 1080p HDMI inputs, it will be easier to hookup a PC to the HDMI ports from a DVI-D video card? I have been wanting to hookup up my Toshiba 62MX195 to a PC, but it seems like a lot of work to get it done without damaging the TV. With the 1080P HDMI inputs, will we be able to just hook the PC up and start watching?

I have DVI-D on my video card and have hooked it up to my LCD tv via DVI to HDMI cable at 1080i (not 1080p), I don't see what yur problem is with hooking it up now (unless I'm missing something that you haven't mentioned

Is there any special software you downloaded to get it to work, or is it a straight hookup?

I've got an nVidia 6600 and when I turned the TV on it recognised it, asked me to run some tests with it and now it just works. I run media centre on it and I can also drag any videos over to it and make them full screen
