Default Is this New Laptop Ok?

I been wanting to get one for quite some time and I think this yr's black friday I will get one. Here is one from the ad of 2011 so I'm sure this yr for under 300 I will be able to get one similiar if not better. This one was $248 at black friday. 3 GB memory, 320 GB HD , I really just want a laptop for when I go out of town once a month for reserves and also will watch movies on it in the mancave. I have a desktop in the cave as well which I will convert that back to downloading music once i get the laptop. I havent downloaded music in maybe a few yrs after a few google redirect virus. I really won't care if i do get a google redirect virus on the desktop though I will be careful what I download and will try and scan each song before I do when I start back up with the desktop. Or actually, since I am going to get an apple ipod touch also and play my music in the vehicles , I won't be burning many cd's but will still probably keep the music on my desktop cause in my work truck, i wont be carrying my ipod around in it lol. Just a worktruck it is, my 92 s10. Just wanted to get you guys take on this laptop.

It is not terrible for the price, but I am not a fan of HP. I have had more HP laptop and desktops die than I can count. I also would try to shot for 4GB of Ram. If you wanted you could wait a little bit and get a computer with windows 8 or wait just a little bit longer and then you can upgrade for free. Course windows 8 is a lot different that 7 so you might want to try before you upgrade.
