Default Colossu and Fury 3 Video Capture setup

This ( I have found) is the way to do it.. A little pricie but well worth it.
I have a Hauppauge Colossus video capture card in my HTCP with the Arcsoft video capture software ( comes with the card)..

I take the HDMI video signal out of the Dish 722 into the Fury 3 which stripps the incoding off of everything and comes out in 1080i component (R,G,B) which goes into the colossus component input
(there is an HDMI input but will not record most of what comes out of the dish because of encription).
This I record onto external HD and is stored as .ts or mt2s.. When its played back on to you HDTV as 1080i it is converted to 1080p by the TV.. The picture quality is stunning and the sound is great (5.1) or DD or what ever it was recorded as..
The only drawback is you have to play the whole movie to record it. I'm sittiing on 9tb of video right now.. but can watch at will and will always have..
