Default Hard Drive failure?

Does this sound like I can have a bad HDD?

fresh install of Win7 64 after a few weeks pass chkdsk starts showing up after every boot and displays "found unindexed files" eventually the computer gets worse and worse and eventually doesn't boot.

hook up SATA drive to another computer, ran full test (using Western digital tool) and it fails.

I format (the long way, writing 0's to drive) run test again, passes fine

reinstall windows, everything works great for about 2 weeks, then it all starts up again.

anyone have ideas?

Try another hard drive and see what happens.

If it fails on another system it's most likely bad. Did you check to see if it's still under warranty? If so, WD will cross ship a drive to you if you give them a credit card number to insure sending the bad one back. Just show them the results of the test.
