I heard that with a Mac pc or laptop you can download music and won't get a virus unlike getting one pretty easy on a regular computer. Is that so?

I am talking about p2p file sharing

Here's a thought...

Download form legitimate sites and you won't have to worry, PC or MAC.
If you are playing in illegal territory, you have to expect consequences.

what about " watching" .........NOT " downloading " porn? can that give you a virus? I have seen where some things are instantly blocked from viewing as i guess it had a potential harm

Drop using P2P programs, they're inconsequential and on the way out, they're also highly dangerous and where most people get caught for doing their thing.

as DoctorCAD said.. playing in illegal territory...

There is better and 'safer' alternatives.

Yes, I don't think we're allowed to discuss them here. Against forum rules.. but if you catch me off the forum or on messenger (steam, skype, msn) that's a different story.

i started with a powermac g3, then a powermac g4, now a Mac Pro 2 X 2.66 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon. ive been all over the net, downloaded from every where, never a problem, i do have a program called Web Of Trust that warns me. i recently installed VmWare Fushion with Windows 7 Home Premium, big difference. i noticed if i go to some of the same sites that i go to on OSX Lion i will get a lot more of the = buy me buy me adds. infact ive been downloading music from beemp3.com for years without any problem or warning, but in windows i get a = BEWARE warning. it is possible to get a virus on a mac but from my experience you have to download and install it. the downside to mac is that your not going to buy one at walmart for $600.00, or $300.00. mine was $3800.00 and that was just the tower, another $750.00 for the monitor and so on and so on. you can find a older powermac g5 on ebay for $300.00 or $400.00 that is a great machine, again these were computers that sold in the 2 - 3 thousand dollar range when new. i went with the intel Mac Pro because of being able to run windows, hey i have a lot of free time. any way just my thoughts on this.
