Default Llano based Motherboards hitting the market!

Maybe no one else cares, but Engadget has a post about Gigabyte making the first Llano compatible motherboards for AMD's A6 and A8 processors. IF you know what those are, you get it. If not, they are APU's. They have a discrete HD video GPU and a low power CPU all combined on the same die. They are 35-45Watts and can run full HD similar to the Radeon line now. They are by no means a gaming power house. But for a super low power HTPC, these seem to be the logical choice. Here's the link to the Gigabyte site:

Odds are, this will be the board in my HTPC next time I upgrade. I love the idea of full featured HTPC running no more than 45W for both CPU and GPU. Can you say passive cooling? LOL!!!

I really don't see this APU's threatening the top tier products from Intel or AMD. I think Intel might get a little sweat on the brow for their Atom line. Honestly, for cheap laptops and netbooks, this is a real shot in the arm. Maybe even windows based tablet type set-ups.

This should be the perfect HTPC solution (at least for anyone not needing high-end gaming). I'd give it a shot but everything I have is perfect for my needs right now and I finally moved past the stage of upgrading just to have something to play with.

Hoping to see some posts on it from those taking the plunge.
