Default Air Play with MAC

I have an older Sony Stereo Tuner (STR-DE945) it has input for MD DAT (which I have no idea what that is) but I want to step it up using Air Play so that I can play itunes from a mac device. The question is the audio feed from an Apple Air Port Express compatible with an MD DAT input or should I use another?

MD DAT stands for MiniDisc and Digital Audio Tape. MiniDisc is proprietory to Sony, but DAT is used through out the audio recording industry. Don't think you should have any problems feeding the apple product into the port.
