Well - after a night and a half - I have once again - fallen in love with the 1966 and 67 Chevy Nova's.

What a great body style. Light, fast and the true street sleeper. Mom's grocery getter . . . . . with a Corvette engine.

They just sold a 1966 Nova with the L79 (327/350) 4 speed in Marina Blue . . . AND . . . it was a Nickey Chevrolet (Chicago) model.

Fully documented with 37,000 original miles.

$85,000!!!

The very first 1955 Ford Thunderbird ever sold to the public just sold for $600,000!

What the hell happened to the 1969 ZL1 Camaro market? $295,000? From the Reggie Jackson collection?

A 1969 Yenko 427 Camaro sold for $275,000.

The market dropped 50%

That 1965 Galaxie 500 XL with a real Ford 427 627HP Cammer Motor was wild. They should have made and sold them. A big verison of the Thunderbolt.

I wish I was Ron Pratt. This guy ALWAYS spends about $2 million to $3 million at the auction. He just bought a 1929 Tri Motor Airplane - fully restored fo $1,100,000 - which was less than 1/2 of of what ti would cost to restor one IF you could find one to restore. There are only a handful left in the world.

I wish he would make his collection public. It MUST be spectacular!

There were bargins galore at the auction. The economy IMO has hurt even the rich people which really makes it a bad recession.

The Allard Racer for $185,000?

2 Hemi cars - a RR and a Cuda for pennies becaise they were auto's with column shift?
