The Chrysler/Dodge 383 was a wedge engine. No hemi of that displacement was ever manufactured by Mopar. They did make two different 383's, one with a 4.25 in. bore and 3.375 in. stroke and another with a smaller bore but a 3.75 in. stroke. The hemis came as 331, 354, 392, 426 and the more modern ones near 350 and 392. They also manufactured some smaller old hemis but no 383 hemi.

I had a 69 Oldsmobile Cutlass S imported via GM Suisse.
Now I'm driving an 88 Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am GTA.
Is a good vehicle and absolutely original.
