No war, just reacting to the GTO > Mustang, lol.

From an enthusiasts standpoint they aren't doing anything except for a few warmed over models, yawn.

The Dark Side is doing great things with Caddy and Pontiac, once again Ford will be behind .

It's cool. I just got back from the Detroit Auto show. The Cobra was stunning. Too bad it's so damn expensive.

Sweet , I really think that the GTO was one of the best values of power and performance that was on the market at the time. I love mine. Yours looks sweet.

Especially with the dealer markdown it was an incredible value, < $30K. (please correct me if I'm wrong)
If I was a GM guy I'd be driving one too!

Yeah, I was just joking because it is amazing how passionate Bow Tie and Blue Oval owners get about their favourite brand. I am a life long die hard Blue Oval fan as it runs in my blood, but I know even the Mopar guys look down on me because I currently own both a Blue Oval(the Focus) and a Bow Tie(the TBSS). Those Mopar guys can't even talk right now as they arn't even owned by an American firm anymore, and are owned by some investment firm by all horrors. I felt better about them when they were owned by Benz at least.........

I really get irritated with Ford at times because they don't seem to cater to the general performance crowd anymore. I don't give a care whether they come out with a special limited edition vehicle every couple years when most people can't afford it. Even if they could afford it, they still can't afford it once the stealerships determine that market demand exceeds market supply and marks them up to the market clearing price. They need to throw us a bone for those of us who can't afford to pay $40-60k for a performance vehicle. What happened to the days for the SVT Cobra's(the affordable ones like the 99-01, and 03-04), the SVT Pirahna Focus, the SVT Lightning(one heck of a bargain), and even the non and pre-SVT vehicles like the Marauder or Taurus SHO.

The GTO was an incredible value, especially after they started getting the LS2 engine. I still believe that had they done a better job designing the exterior, it would have sold better. Seriously, I remember seeing it come out and thinking that it looked like something between a Cavalier and Grand Am.

I used to do that, until my 3rd Jeep needed to be replaced and I looked at gas prices and the 30k miles I drive a year. Bought a Prius instead. Save over $4000 a year now and never had issues in snow - I came close to getting stuck once with 4-5" of snow piling up on the highway, but that's it.

When we replace my wifes car, we'll probably go with something that's a bit bigger - I really like the FJ Cruiser or the Highlander. Either way, I'd like something that could tow my snowmobile trailer.

Yeah.. If they gave me one of their vehicles and a camera, I would make them a commercial worthy of 4WD.

What about a Ford Escape Hybrid? I really love how they look, although they are a bit pricey. You have the best of both worlds as you have practicality, and 30mpg in a nice comfy package that features real tires instead of the low rolling resistance tires.

Congrats to adhood on his Range Rover as I think it is a much better looking vehicle than those H2's. I've always been a fan of AWD and full time 4WD systems as they are the ultimate in drivability(on pavement). The H3's look pretty good, but I never could get used to the H2's. Maybe it is because nearly every one I see running around here has dub + 10's on them and just look way too bling-bling for my tastes.
