Sweet! My first car forum post.

I drive an 01 Audi A4 tiptronic with some other little toys inside.
Drives oh so smooth. I love this car! Matter of fact I'm taking it in for an oil change and fix a cosmetic part of the vent. Audi treats you almost like royalty. It's actually quite nice going there for service. You can pull in and out with a free rental car within 5-7minutes.

OK OK, I'm done talking about me. I did however, enjoy reading about all of your cars. I wish I had 400HP in mine!

I noticed that the 95-01 32 valve DOHC Cobra V8's sound a lot more different than the 03-04 versions they used in the Marauder and Terminator Cobra's. What did Ford change to cause a totally different tone? The 03-04 version of that motor sounds so much more muffled and mild, while the older versions have an intense low pitched throaty sound.

The '03-'04 Mustangs have a lower compression ratio and probably different valve timing because of the supercharger. Don't know about the Marauder but the crossover pipe does affect the way things sound also.

Try this one on for size....

Matter of fact there's another type out there that's absolutely mind boggling....I can't find it right now on their website but I'll post if I do find it soon.

Actually I prefer the S6 over the R8 seems more user friendly LOL. The RS4 in Canada ranges in price at a base of 92 grand to 109 grand.

Even when i've heard 03/04 Cobras with an aggressive exhaust system, it just has an entirely different tone that i've never found the answer to. Either way, it does sound sweet when you finally open that exhaust up enough to finally overcome the whine of the blower!
