Default A first car question?

Hello Friends,

I'm 17 and looking at buying my first car.
So far I've looked at
Honda Prelude
Honda Accord
Honda Integra
Toyota Celica

Does anyone have a good suggestion to add to that list?
Preferably a 4 cyl. Good on petrol
Coupe is preferred, but not essential ( Like the Accord)
Petrol
Manual
Look half decent. Not after a Laser or Excel PoS

Also, I!'m going to look at a 1993 Accord on the weekend. Dark blue, Comes with 12 month Rego, RWC and Warranty
The only thing that's a bit annoying is the Km's it's done. 260,000
Is that too much for a car? I'm sure it comes with Service history from previous owner as well.
They want 3200 for it. But we will probs try to trade in Mums old car. As she bought a 4wd and we don't need the falcon anymore. ( Which I won't be getting as it's going to cost me too much to repair and on petrol,

Any suggestions?

Sounds like you are in Australia maybe? Location could be important as to what someone would suggest. Is that 3200 in USD? Lot of kms, but with warranty may be ok. Is it standard manual or automatic transmission? Automatics could be more of an issue with high mileage.... er kms.

Also make sure that you can afford to insure which vehicle you plan on purchasing. Here in the US, vehicles like the Acura Integra and Honda Prelude can be very expensive to insure. A coupe has also traditionally been more expensive to get insurance on as well.

Default Help on this.

What's your first car, a new one or you can settle with a second-hand brand?
