There were 4 cylinder cars back in 1996 that could dust my mustang in a 1/4 drag. It's decent enough to drive, plenty of torque for what it is and don't need to push it to drive at a reasonable rate... but when you do push it it's like an asthmatic fat kid and just runs out of breath FAST

As you said earlier, new set of heads on that 3.8 litre v6 will do wonders for your performance. Not only will it add around 40hp, but I have seen how it will drop a full second off the 0-60. Unfortunately there is not much that a 150hp ancient as a dinosaur v6 can do. That is like going for a ride on a 50 year old spent hooker and expecting her to perform like a former pro football cheerleader.

Yep, that's why I'm just gonna keep driving it till the wheels fall off.
Nearly 200k miles on it, I've had it since 130k... and I paid $1k for it

I got other things I'd rather spend my money on than a nice car, like a house.

That's gonna be tough when considering the housing prices in SoCal. My friend in LA is looking at buying a house and doing a 1+ hour commute every day into the city because he can't find anything decent for under $850k there.

Your friend must have really high standards or expectations, there's plenty of good homes out here for half a million less than that!
Well... okay maybe not in his immediate area of LA, I admit I don't really look into the housing market up there since I would never want to live there.

I'm thinking more of something along the lines of this place at a cool $350k: http://www.cristineclark.com/MyHomeD...HomeID=1136619

He has somewhat unique standards. He also doesn't want to be anywhere near the LA school system. I'm facing the same dilemma in a way as I want to move out of this crappy neighborhood within the city of Cincinnati that I currently live. This city appears to be becoming the next Detroit.

I've had a chance to drive around for a while now with these new rotors and pads, so i'll post an update. The bottom line is that this combination is just freakin awesome. These pads have some serious bite and have increased braking power significantly. With these being high performance street pads, I was worried that they wouldn't bite very well when cold. My fears have been relieved as they bite and bite hard no matter the temperature.
