I received a PM requesting I post some photos of 1969 Camaro convertibles other than the Pace Cars. I like requests BTW. You can either send them as a PM to me or simply make a post like:

"Hey Lee . . . how about some photos of 1970 Hemi 'Cudas." I will do my best to find such photos and post them.

This is a very rare real 1965 Cobra. What makes it rare is shown in the next photo:



It is one of a handful built with an automatic trans.

For the 1968 model year, Ford had a huge gaping hole in their engine line up. The 289 had been discontinued, replaced by the new 302. The next available choice was the 390. There was no intermediate engine choice in between the 302 and the 390. The 351 would not appear until the following model year. 1,657 1968 GT350s were sold, each with a 250 HP 302. The Fastback outnumbered the Convertible 3 to 1.
