AFAIK the "SX" moniker doesn't stand for anything. Just a moniker that Olds picked to market the RPO: Y79 Performance Package

Did you know . . .

The 1969 Penske/Sunoco Z/28 Trans Am racer had all of it's components repaired, rebuilt or replaced after every race except one . . . The Koni adjustable shock absorbers. They lasted an entire season as is right out of the box!

One of the 21 1967 Camaro Pace Car Convertibles built after the actual race was run. All 21 were built in Canada including the one given to A.J. Foyt who did not accept the one given to him by Chevrolet for winning the Indy 500. He complained it did not have A/C (he lived in Texas) so Chevy built him one. The other 20 were sold in Canada after dealers complained they did not get a chance to buy the used "festival" cars for resale.

Quote:
According to the Shelby Registry, this rare 1970 Shelby GT500 convertible is one of only six 1970 models finished in Grabber Yellow. This color is darker and deeper than Mustang Grabber Yellow; it was a Shelby-only color.
Being a 1970 it should have the Goodyear Polyglas GT F60x15 RWL tires instead of the early 1969 production E70x15 RWL tires that it currently has.
