Sorry Lee I forgot that the owner wanted it held back from 2016 MCACN and decided to display it at the 50th anniversary event at the 2017 MCACN.

But the car was finished back in July 2016 and did appear at the 2016 POCI Nats in Iowa, also in July 2016.

My website documents the restoration on this car. I also have information on the other surviving 1969 RAIV Firebird convertibles.

Another What If car . . . What if Carroll Shelby offered the Paxton Supercharger on the 1965 GT350. Didn't happen until the following year: 1966

This 1970 Boss 302 Eliminator is not only a special order paint car ( Medium Lime Green Metallic) but also a special order interior car: Green which was not on the Eliminator's color palette

Did you know . . .

When Mercury put the Rear Spoiler on the back of the 1970 Cougar Eliminator it made the trunk lid so heavy that they had to add a prop rod to keep it open.

These are Coker Tires new Firestone Wide Oval reproductions. They look just like the bias ply tires used by the OEMs except they are radials: FR70x14.

I was doing some research on two tone paint 1970 Olds Cutlass line cars. About 7% had the T-T-P option and here's the interesting part . . . over 80% of them were Coupes like this W31 which BTW did not come with T-T-P but with a vinyl top. During restoration the owner decided to change it. IMO he made the right decision. I hope this is a trend.
