I never liked that stripe pattern. It looks incomplete and detracts from the beautiful styling of the car.

Well I figured out why the 1970 Super Bee has two different hoods:

"Ramcharger" Air Induction Option

No Air Induction:

So what do Chevy engines weigh?

250 CI 6 Cyl = 410 lbs.

327/350 CI 8 Cyl = 540 lbs*

396/427/454 8 Cyl = 726 lbs (all iron)*

396/427/454 8 Cyl with Aluminum heads + intake manifold = 606 lbs.

427 ZL1 8 Cyl all Aluminum engine = 520 lbs

*You can subtract another 20 lbs for an Aluminum Intake Manifold

Intake manifold ain't right .
Shows 5 runners (10 cyclinders) but only 4 (2 siamesed) out.
Carb near firewall too low and linkage don't go anywhere.

It is missing the Ram Air induction system:

And the red plastic inner fenders were introduced in 1967

In 1970 the 454 LS5 was introduced into the following cars:

Monte Carlo SS454
Chevelle SS 454
El Camino SS454
Corvette

What were the horsepower ratings for each?
