This is the only know Silver Metallic with a Red Interior 1966 Hemi Charger. Dodge built 468 Hemi Chargers in 1966. Silver Metallic was an extra cost color in 1966.

Did you know . . .

The standard stripes on the 1968 Dodge Dart GTS were the side stripes

The bumblebee stripes were a no charge option

You could order you GTS with no stripes (stripes delete)

1964 Chevrolet Corvette Styling Car

Quote:
GM design chief Bill Mitchell built a series of so-called Corvette “styling cars” for VIP clientele as a way of testing the waters on various design details. It’s rumored that as many as 15 such cars were built, making them especially rare today. This particular car has wire-spoke wheels, uniquely designed sidepipes, and a vanity mirror built into the passenger-side sun visor.

Did you know . . .

In 1969, the M40 TH400 was only available with the 396 engine option on Nova and Camaro SS cars. If you ordered an SS 350 with auto trans, you got the M38 TH350. (The letter code M35 was for the 2 speed Powerglide trans BTW). The TH350 was new for 1969. 1967 and 1968 SS 350 cars were only available with the M35. The M40 was available for SS 396 325 and 350 HP engines but not the L78 375 HP engine until 1969.

In 1967 and 1968, you could order a 4.88 rear in your Camaro right from the factory - only with the 350 engine. But in 1969, a 4.10 was all you could get directly from Chevrolet

1969 Chevelle SS 396 Promotional Photo

IMO - this car has 15" Magnum 500 SS wheels - something that was never available on Chevrolet cars. Goodyear RWL Wide Tread GT tires were 15". The same wheels are shown on the above photo of the 1970 Chevelle SS only with trim rings. AFAIK you could order 15" RWL tires on you 1969 Chevelle SS 396 using COPO 9737 but you got Corvette 15" Rally Wheels.

Same car in another unused promo photo (in the making)

If you remember a series of photos I posted a while ago showing unused ad/brochure photos of a 1970 Chevelle SS that had 350 engine callout emblems and wheel covers - here is another photo
