Lee I owned a 1965 "near GT" convertible. It had a build date of late March 1965 and had every GT option. Pony interior, 5 dial instrument cluster, disc brakes, 3.25 posi and dual exhaust. What was different was it was a 289 2V and did not have the exhaust trumpets.

Cool!

The GT option was only available on the 289 4V and HiPo 289 in 1965.

Normally I don't post pictures of clones, tributes or restomods but this car is very unique and IMO deserves a post. It looks like a 1964 Thunderbolt doesn't it




Until you lift the hood to see a 427 Twin Supercharged engine. 850 HP! That is beautiful!
