The 1970 SS 396 El Camino was different than the Chevelle SS. It's standard tire was a G70x14 WSW with RWL extra cost. RWL was standard on the Chevelle SS

An interesting comparison of two cars at the recent Barrett-Jackson auction

1969 427 COPO Camaro - sold for $330,000

1969 427 Yenko Chevelle - Sold for $275,000

I would have bet the farm that the Yenko Chevelle would have outsold the COPO Camaro. This Yenko Chevelle is just one of 13 to have an automatic (the other 86 had a 4 speed) which may have hurt it's value. Chevy made a lot less COPO Chevelles than they did COPO Camaros. 323 vs almost 1000.

1966 Shelby GT 350

It's missing the standard Goodyear Blue Streak RWL tires. They now sell for $375 each (reproductions). This is one of Ron Pratt's cars - surprised he didn't spend the $1500 to put the correct tires on it.

Do you remember this triple white 1969 Judge Convertible?

http://www.barrett-jackson.com/Archi...ERTIBLE-180580

It's a fully loaded car with A/C. The only triple white car I have ever seen. It sold for $181,000.

Never seen one with this color combination: Gold with a White Vinyl top and White interior with White stripes. Really looks nice

1968 Hemi Charger R/T - Bumblee Bee Stripe Delete

I think this is the first time I have ever seen a 68 Charger R/T with stripes delete. Not a very popular choice in 1968 like it was in 1969 - probably because you still got the R/T emblem on the rear fenders in 1969. In 1968 - you got nothing.

Quote:
This “purpose built” one-off drag car was originally procured by brothers Bobby and Cecil Edge, of Oneonta, Alabama, who took delivery of this car from Fred Peak Ford. They were able to obtain the car with its modifications through contacts they made at the Ford Motor Company after years of racing Ford products. With a production date of March 24, 1966, this car is the last full size factory built lightweight drag car. They raced the car until 1967.

Powered by an “R” Code medium riser 427 CID V-8 with dual 715 Holley quads and a Toploader 4-speed manual transmission, this car has the following modifications that were completed at Ford’s Atlanta Assembly plant prior to delivery to the original owners:

Teardrop fiberglass hood
Thunderbolt Ram Air induction
Dual point ignition
Cast iron headers
Full exhaust system
Battery relocation to trunk
4:56 ratio Detroit Locker rear differential with nodular rear center section
31 spline axles
Clock, radio, heater and left side mirror deletes
