Did you know . . .

The 1967 K code 289 Mustang was not available with Air Conditioning. But the 1967 Shelby GT 350 was.

Hi Chris

Yes, I do remember. It's interesting that Canadian dealers picked the Chevelle in 1967 to put the L72 427 in while the USA picked the new Camaro.

Merry Xmas Chris to you and yours!

Warmest regards

Lee

Here is the original sale paperwork. I see nothing about deleting the Z/28 stripes so they are missing from this car (should be black)

The "special int" was RPO Z87, the Custom Interior (a.k.a. Deluxe Interior)

Hi Lee
First time here very nice to see such a good job on a site. On page 175 there is a Ford Galaxie 500 XL in the photos. It do say 427 but I just bought this car and when I put VIN number in google I get a page Auto Collections that bring up this car some of same photos on page 175. It actually say it's a 390 CDI. Here is info on car do you think someone just put 427 Badges on this car but it is actually a 390
Serial (Warranty) Number: 6J68Y149098
Body: Color: Trim: Date:
DSO: Trans: Axle:

Year (6) = 1966
Plant (J) = Los Angeles
Model (68) = Galaxie 500 XL, 2-Door Fastback
Engine (Y) = 8 Cylinder 390 Cubic Inch (2V)
Consecutive Unit Number (149098) = 149098

Hi Brendan

Please keep in mind that I rely on the site where I get the photo from . . . as far as specs go. I am sure that there are many cars that I have posted a photo of that look like they should . . . but are really clones/tributes, etc. when a through inspection would be made. Just like I am sure that many of these cars have owner added options that the car did not have when it left the factory.

The thread is primarily just photos of what these Muscle Cars would have looked like as they left the factory and the options that could have been ordered.

Regards

Lee
