When you ordered the GT option one thing you lost were the standard rear bumper guards (see Post #7552 above)

Well . . . "the party's over . . . it's time to go" . . . Once again Happy 50th Birthday to the Mustang. I will end this dedication with what IMO was the wildest production Mustang built in our '62 to '72 Muscle Car thread . . .

Hey again Lee,
Here´s a question for you. This photo was taken (by me) at Mantorp Park
Raceway, Sweden in 1971. The car was raced in the Swedish
championship. BUT who raced it in the Trans Am series in U.S.??
Hint: he had #85 on his cars. It is currently owned by a friend of mine,
and he is restoring it back to original race condition.
Happy Easter Chris

The Mustang is already in production which started 3-9-64. And here is a styling exercise with a different grille, crossbar and the different horse emblem facing 180 degrees opposite of the production emblem:

Did you know . . .

The 1966 GTO outsold the 1965 (96,946 vs 75,352), but the 1965 outsold the 1966 for 389 Tri-Power (20,547 vs 19,045).
