Default Motor Trend on Hustle Cars

Not what I expected. I saw the genny got solid reviews, but did not know it was this good. I was thinking of checking one out. But I got so frustrated while car shopping and bought the V6 accord coupe.

No, but every car that wins one will constantly advertise it.

They said the Mustang was the quickest and the best handling, but they liked the Hundai better??? I guess they like low to the ground over speed and handling. Or maybe because it was not a domestic? I call BS just based on what they said.

I was thinking the same thing. The Mustang's actual performance was better across the board. The only thing the Genesis had was personal preference of an unknown number of drivers.

Yeah, 0-60 in 5.1 sec and 13.7 quarter mile time is just sick for a 6 cyl.

He said he slightly preferred the genesis over mustang because it drove more like a sports car. I saw one on the street the other day. That is one great looking car. It stands out since you won't see that many of them on the street when compared to mustang. I wished I had taken one for a test drive before I got my car.

Hard to go wrong with an Accord. I wouldn't worry, at all, that I missed driving the Genesis.

Well I happen to love the looks of the Challenger best myself even if it is slower and not as nimble. I like the plusher ride, having gotten rid of my Grand Prix a few years ago because it had too much of a sports car ride for the roads I drive on. I felt like a Ball Park Frank in it on the horrible road I travel frequently to 2 different clients. I replaced it with a Bonneville which handles very well while having a ride that doesn't make me feel like lunch meat.

I do not get how they picked the Genesis either.

They have a habit of doing this sort of thing. Throwing a ringer into the mix, I guess for controversy. They set out according to the title to test "Hustle" cars and throw a true sports car into the mix. In other tests of Muscle cars they add a Corvette in the mix, presumably also for controversy or to make sure of the outcome.

But this one seems very contrived with the Genesis not fairing on top in any tests.

I agree the mustang should have been number 1 but it's just in their own opinion the Hyundai was better.

I wonder who spent more on advertising dollars with them............

I myself am usually skeptical about these automotive tests and comparisons because it is often about not pissing off their advertisers. These reviews are also done by a few people who many not represent my preferences.
