Default which cables to buy?

I am going to buy a Vizio HDTV 47", a Playstation 3, and a home theater in a box system. I know kinda vague, but i was really confused about what cables to run with each system. i really want all the benefits of each system. Could anyone suggest which cables would give me maximum audio and video.

I'd say go with the Monster 1000hds. Should work nicely with your setup.

Go with HDMI, the no brands sold at monoprice.com should work just fine.

Stay away from monster, waste of money.

Find some online for less than $20

So, which is it Joe?

Go with Monster 1000hds and spend $100 for a 3' cable?

or

Go to Monoprice and pick up the same quality cable for < $10.00?

If you have money to give away to a worthy cause, purchase your cables from monoprice (or similar) and give the difference to the charity of your choice.
The cable will work just fine and you'll feel better too.

Use either HDMI or Component depending on number of connectors available, personal preferences, etc.

That little wink was my hint at my facetiousness

I'd go with the monoprice cables for a 99% of TVs. Since I can buy monster cables at cost, I always get them because they are built better, but thats pretty much the only advantage. Signal wise its just 1s and 0s.

But if I pay more for it, it must be better right....

monoprice.com - my parents use the free hdmi cable from comcast of philly and it looks just as good as my $60 set. I made 10% commision on cables at sears and 1% on most Tv's. that should explain the profitability of cables in a nutshell.

OP, Welcome to the Forum.

www.tendonusa.com and www.monoprice.com sell quality cables. And go HDMI for less cables and video quality.
