Rizz, I see you have an LG OLED. Do you use the ARC on HDMI to get sound signal to a receiver? I just got a 65C7P and a Dolby Atmos compatible Onkyo receiver. I need to use the ARC to get the 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos signal back to the receiver-- do I have to have a 2.1 HDMI cable or will a 2.0 do the job.

I don't have cable or satellite-- everything is streamed from the TV/the Shield or MyCloud. The TV is not mounted on the wall yet; I need to replace my "old" HDMI cables before it's mounted.

my system is connected cable>to AVR>to TV HDMI ARC input. I have never used tv's speakers. I use monoprice cables https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=9303 no problems, I have my 4K disc player with dolby vision & UHD capability. Sorry, I can't help beyond that.

To bring any type of cable or pipe through a roof without leaking, a roof jack first needs to be installed, this goes between the roof and underlayment (tar paper or other water proof membrane) to keep the rain/snow from getting inside.

For a pipe it is then sealed with exterior rated tape.

But for electrical cables a weather head needs to be used to keep the water from getting inside the conduit needed to run the cables down inside the structure.

This is a roof jack, there are many different types, you need one to fit your style roof, and the application.

And this is a weather head for electrical cables, you need one sized for the cable used.

This type of job should be done by a pro as InYourEyes2 mentioned, if not done right it will leak.
